We are excited to invite you to our inaugural Career and Technical Education Summit at Canby High School on Friday, May 26th. This event will bring together our teachers with you, our community partners, in a showcase of our students and the programs at our school. Activities will include presentations, tours, networking opportunities and a luncheon.

Through attending this event, you will be observing students at work on various projects wile learning about connections students are making to future careers in many areas.

Canby High CTE Programs

Accounting

Accounting is the language of business. Students will learn how to manage the finances of a business. This class explorers individual and family finances.

Manufacturing

Students learn skills in basic machine tool operation, as well as high tech skills like robotic programing, CNC programming and operations. Product development, prototyping and massproducation runs are just a few of activities students will participate in.

Early Childhood

Students gain knowledge and learn practice skills that are useful for working with children ranging from infants to 5th grade and gain an understanding of the developmental stages of growth into adulthood.

Agriculture

In the Agriculture program we focus on Plant and Animal Sciences as well as Natural Resources.

Graphic Design

Students learn the Adobe creative suite and utilize it in many ways to take part in real world graphic design and advertising scenarios.

Building Construction

In the building construction program students learn the basics of tools, how to identify types of materials, and to assemble a project.

Drafting

Students develop skills to create precise 2D drawings and 3D models of products for utilization in design, manufacturing, and construction.

Business

In Business Marketing students are introduced to modern marketing, advertising and communication strategies for today's business world.
